We've been playing a bit of the catch up game this month following nearly a week off on team building type activities. We feel the activities and discussions have helped to guide us into the future and the articles in this newsletter are some of the fruits from this.

Our newsletter will give you an insight into what has been, and will be happening at The Accountants Circle, including the development of our tools, partner offers and improvements made to our products and services.

Custom Development Service - Excel & Online

In the past we had decided to always stay clear of providing a custom development service as we wanted to maintain focus on our members and the tools that are available.

During the team exercises we had discussions the revisited this decision, and led us to realising that by introducing a service where you can have customised tools and templates development by us would in fact improve the tools for all of our members.

By providing you with a custom service it will give our team a broader view and experience in our development, and improve skills for a direct impact on tools for our members.

It also gives us a greater opportunity to grow and expand faster so we will be in a better position for recruiting more developers with greater experience.

Over the last 4 years we have undertaken a number of custom development tasks from those that have approached us but it's never been a service we would offer publicly.

Team Building Exercise

Earlier in the month The Accountants Circle Team had almost a week away on various team building and training exercises.

It was interesting for all of us, both to get out of the office doing different team activitiesand challenges such as kayaking, which left more than half of us a little cold and wet.

Although everyone did enjoy the break it wasn't all fun and games. Most of the time was spent in discussions on the business, what's been happening and how we see things moving ahead in the future.

It can be quite interesting when colleagues open up and feel free to throw in ideas, offer their thoughts and let loose in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Some of the key things that came from the discussions which will affect and help members were:

 · Offering a custom development service

 · Introducing Service Managers - Country Based

 · Member tools to assist with running a practice

Custom Development Service
We've outlined the service in more detail within this newsletter.

Service Managers
As we expand offering membership and services in more countries it is becoming clear we'll need dedicated focus to ensure members are properly and promptly looked after.

Practice Tools
Although we do have the Online Practice Management System we've not given much attention to helping members with running a practice aside from client related tools and services. We'll be looking to introduce ways to help with obtaining and managing human resources too which are a large part of a practice.
