Do it yourself websites?

Hi

I am just starting my own payroll business and I know I really should have a website.  I won't have a lot of money to start with so I want to keep my costs down. What can I do to build my own website?  Is there anything you recommend that can do this easily with templates (I don't know much with programming).

Thank you

Hi Damian

One place that might be worth looking at is http://www.mrsite.com/.

Not used it myself, but I had been looking to sort out a website for ourselves. It's not free, but not far off either. I did feel for our time it's better getting someone else to do it. Could be a nice change though!

It is definitely worth checking out http://smallbusiness.officelive.com/GetOnline.

Microsoft have it all there to help you sort out a free website for yourself!

Hi there,

It's pointless using companies like www.mrsite.com or any kind of freebie software available out there.  Reason being that it doesn't matter where you build your site or how cheap it is to build, if it isn't search engine friendly it isn't going to bring you any new clients from people searching for your services on the internet.

They key is to have a site that looks good, is search engine friendly & YOU have full control over the site to make changes, etc.

The biggest problem is that there are lots of good web designers out there, plenty of search engine experts (or so they claim) out there & even more CMS's (Content Managment Systems).  The hard thing is trying to find all 3 in one!

I work for a company where we have a product that is all of the above in one!

E-mail me at findaccountants@hotmail.com or PM me & I will be more than happy to help!  Accountants, bookkeeping experts, etc are making plenty of money from the internet, by generating enquiries from internet searches & then converting some of those into business!

Good luck!
