With just a little extra time on my hands here since Gosia joined the team to help out on the payroll side... and whilst the guys are working towards the job management system working outside of the website I started wondering a few things on payroll services.
Most of our members are involved with providing clients with a payroll service in one way or another. If you outsourced that service, what do you look for in a payroll service? And do you think it is the same as what your client looks for?
Cost is always a consideration, but there are now a few good options for low cost outsourcing. Expertise is also considered, and so long as there is confidence in the service providers to choose from, there is not a huge difference between them.
How important is delivery of the service? How do you usually want these services delivered? To you as a service provider to the client, or direct to the client (white labelling)? Electronically, or the postage of payslips?
Do you have difficult clients when in comes to the payroll service? I know from my experience there is the odd difficult client... the one that draws direct from the business account as it suits them. How would you want, or expect, an outsourced payroll service to handle these?
Hope to get an idea of your thoughts, your expectations and also what would make the ideal service for you.
