I am currently studying the ACCA with the first of my exams in July.

I am also working for a small firm, I have mainly been employed for my IT skills.

However I am throwing myself into and in front of any work that will help me gain experience and reinforce my studies.  Ironically I'm actually being paid less than min wage, but I've spoken to and heard of people that are almost qualified and still not getting work, that's the only reason I'm here so I can get the experience and knowledge which should pay off in the long run.

 

Anyway, I really want to be able to keep up to date with everything that's going on in our industry.  I figure reading articles is a good easy way.  But i want to be able to attend events or even free courses which would all help.

The problem is that all the events and courses cost an arm & a leg, even events from the ACCA website are totally beyond my means.

 

Does anyone know where there are events & courses that are reasonably priced or free that I could attend.  I'm sure there are many more like me out there.
